Ludhiana, April 29, 2014: Under the special drive launched against anti-social elements in view of Lok Sabha elections, police have recovered a large quantity of arms and weapons from Kaid Canal.
Speaking to the media persons on Tuesday, Satvir Singh Atval (ADCP-3) and Gurpreet Singh (ACP Gill) told that on an information made available to the police by Hakam Singh of Saya village and Angad Kumar of Lohara village, police recovered two plastic bags from the canal.
These recovered bags were carrying ten rocket launchers, one country-made bomb, one IEED Bomb, one AK-47 gun alongwith six magazine, one carbine gun without number etc.
A case in this regard has been registered against unknown persons at Police Station Dehlon.
Further police investigation is on.
