100 attend Max India Foundation free eye-check camp at Palsora

A free eye-check up camp being held at All India Pingalwara Charitable Society, Palsora on Monday, which was organised by Max India Foundation (MIF).

Mohali, May 19, 2014: As many as 100 underprivileged people attended a free eye-check up camp at All India Pingalwara Charitable Society, Palsora today. The camp was organised by Max India Foundation (MIF), the Corporate Social Responsibility Wing of the Max India in association with Max Super Specialty Hospital(MSSH), Mohali, Max Specialty Films and Max Life Insurance.
Carrying forward the legacy of ‘caring for life’, MIF also distributed free medicines to the people besides offering free BP, blood sugar check-ups and eye tests. A team comprising of Dr Harpreet Kapoor, Sr Consultant, Ophthalmology and Nandini Vohra, Optometrist  from MSSH, Mohali provided free consultation to people from Palsora and its adjoining areas. MIF also provided free spectacles to those who were diagnosed with weak eyesight.
Speaking on the occasion,  Mohini Daljeet Singh, Chief Executive, MIF said that we were committed towards making specialized healthcare services accessible to the less privileged people of the society. Through this free medical camp, we hoped to address many health concerns of the underprivileged people, which were often neglected due to monetary constraints.  Following the Max Group philosophy of ‘Seva-bhav’, we have taken up the initiative to provide free consultation and medicines to the people at the camp. We were happy that this initiative  would benefit the needy and deserving.”
Guided by a single minded focus on delivering medical and service excellence, MIF believed that it was important for people to commit themselves to a healthier future comprising of a comprehensive health check-up on a regular basis. With this objective, our team from the Ophthalmology department has come together to counsel people for their eye  related problems. Through this health camp, we hope to extend our free services to maximum number of residents of Palsora area, Mohini asserted.
Meanwhile, MIF has also conducted many similar camps for the less privileged in different areas of Punjab.
