Sukhpreet Singh Winner of 14th family fun car rally.

Chandigarh, August 31, 2014: The first prize of the ‘14th Family Fun Car Rally’, presented by Indian Oil Servo in association with Skoda, Big Fm and Velvet Clarks Exotica, was bagged by Sukhpreet Singh, who also won the prize in ‘Best Dressed Family’. Kamal Raj Singh was adjudged first runner up, while Ankit got the second runner up prize. The best decorated car prize went to Dheeraj Gupta and Ravi got a prize for being the Lowest Scorer.

The rally was flagged off by Mr Dharamveer Singh, State Election Commissioner of Haryana in the moring at Hotel Shivalik View. A total of 49 cars participated in the rally and all participants were provided with a wholesome family day full of fun, excitement and thrill. To make the rally more interesting, all the participants were asked to decorate their cars in the most attractive manner to be judged for Best Decorated Car and also dressed themselves to contest for the Best Dressed family.

Rajeev Jain, Director, Rashi Entertainment said, “When the Family Fun Car Rally was envisioned 14 years ago, the idea was to create an event for car enthusiasts who wanted to enjoy a day out in the sun with their family. We are incredibly thankful to have generous participants and sponsors on board.”

The rally is famous for its several unique features that make it special for the participants. It maintains secrecy about the final winner till the last participant crosses the finish line. While allowing a total of four members from a family to participate, the high point of the rally is that it gives the participants an opportunity to gather scores through randomly picking up points from sealed envelopes and by solving general knowledge questionnaires available at the marshal booths scattered along the 55 km long route.

The winner of the rally is decided after adding up the points picked up by the participant from the various marshal booths (through luck and by answering general IQ questions and searching the clues). It is all a question of luck, sense of direction and general knowledge as the participant with the maximum number of points would take away the winner’s trophy even if he is the last to cross the finish line.
