2 candidates file papers for elections Ludhiana Press Club

Ludhiana, June 19, 2017: The process of holding election to Ludhiana Press Club (Regd.) was started today.
The election is scheduled to be held on June 25.
June 19 and 20 (12 pm to 4 pm) was fixed for issuance of nomination papers. On the first day today, eight nomination papers were issued to the willing candidates. Of them, one candidate has got issued two nomination papers.
Of these eight possible candidates, two candidates namely Sunil Rai Comrade and Rohit Gaur submitted their papers today. The former has filed his papers for the post of senior vice president and the latter for the post of joint secretary.
June 20 and 21 (12 pm to 4 pm) has been fixed for date of submission.
Scrutiny will be held on June 21.
The date of withdrawn of nomination papers has been fixed for June 22 (2pm).
The list of final candidates will be displayed on June 22 (4pm).
Polling will be held between 9 am and 4 pm on June 25.
The results will be declared at 5 pm on the same day (June 25).
LPC has already been got registered under the under Societies Registration Act, 1860. The governing body will be chosen for three years and will have posts of president, 2 vice presidents (1 male and 1 female), general secretary, treasurer, 4 executive members (2 male and 2 females).
