225 units of Blood Donated

Ludhiana, November 10, 2017: In the voluntary Blood Donation camp organized by the National Service Scheme Units of Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana under aegis of Bhai Ghnayia ji mission sewa society supported by Rotary Club, Ludhiana, 225 units of blood were donated. The camp was inaugurated by Dr.Sehijpal Singh, HOD (Mechanical) and Dr.Kulbir Singh Gill, HOD(Civil) in presence of members of Bhai Ghnayia Ji Mission and Rotary Club. Teams from blood banks of Raghunath Hospital, Guru Teg Bahadur Hospital and Civil Hospital conducted the camp. Stating that this was the 258th blood donation camp, Bhai Taranjit Singh Nimana, Chairman, Bhai Ghnayia Ji Mission said that the society's endeavor was to provide blood to every needy individual. Rtn. Er.DPS Virk, President, Rotary Club, Ludhiana, Sh.Suresh Chaudhary, Past District Governor, Er. Charanjit Singh, Secretary, Er. Balbir Singh. Sh.Sp.P.Karkara,IAS were present from Rotary side. Giving inputs on this camp, Pf. Deepinder Singh, Program Officer, NSS said that Blood donation camps were an annual feature in the college. Pf. Jaswinder Singh & Dr. Arvind Dhingra applauded the efforts of students in organzing the camp. Volunteers from Bhai Ghnayia ji mission Pf. Gurdeep Singh, Tanjit Singh etc. were also present during the camp.
