3 Kg heroin recovered by BSF

Seizure worth Rs.15 Cr in International market

Ferozeur, September 17, 2012 : DIG, BSF, K.P.S.Rana (Retd. Brig.), Ferozepur informed that 3 Kg of heroin has been recovered by BSF from the international border under the supervision of Commanding Officer, P.K.Rathore.

A secret information was received that Pakistani smugglers have been sent to the smugglers in India at the international border and on the basis of this tip-off, a search operation was carried by the BSF jawans with the help of ‘trained dog squads’ at D.T.Mal Post and three packets dumped under the tree, which were sent by the Pakistan smugglers , were found between pillar number 193/8-9 and 2 KMs ahead the fencing towards Pakistan and 500 meter from the international border on the Indian side.

He further said that after taking the heroin into possession by the BSF under the supervision of CO P.K.Rathore, further investigation have been started as to which smugglers this consignment,  on Indian side, was sent.
