Jalandhar, October 10, 2013: Punjab State Power Corp. Ltd Patiala derailed Indian Navy Mumbai by 5-4 to enter the Quarter Final League stage of the 30th Servo Indian Oil Surjit Hockey Tournament at Olympion Surjit Hockey Stadium here today.

Punjab State Power Corp. ltd. Patiala and Indian Navy Mumbai played good hockey. In the 11th minute of the play Amit Goswami opened the account for Indian Navy (1-0). In the very next minute Punjab State Power Corp Ltd equalized with field goal scored by Rupinder Singh (1-1). In the 21st minute of the play Patiala boys mounted pressure and earned first penalty corner, their Bhushan Kumar sounded the board (2-1). In 26th minute of the play Indian Navy equalized with field goal from Fahim Khan (2-2). At half time both team levelled at 2-2.

In the second half’s 40th minute Patiala boy took lead with field goal scored by Rupinder Singh (3-2). In the 43rd minute of the play equalizer came from the stick of Fahim Khan once again (3-3). In the 48th minute of the play Parteek sounced the board from top the circle (4-3). In the 50th minute PSPCL equalized with penalty corner conversion by Rajanbir Singh (4-4).
