35th Punjab State Sub Junior Volleyball Championship concludes at Guru Kashi University

Talwandi Sabo, November 19, 2015: 35th Punjab State Sub Junior Championship concluded at successfully at Guru Kashi University, Talwandi Sabo in which 44 teams (Boys and Girls) from all over the Punjab participated. Prof. Jasbir Singh Sidhu Dean Student Welfare GKU shared that Bathinda Boys and Sangrur Girls snatched 1st positions whereas Mohali (boys) and Faridkot (girls) stood runner up. It is worth mentioning here that 5 players from Bathinda team who belongs to Stoneway Convent School, Ghudda will represent Punjab in the upcoming national games going to be held at Hyderabad. On the concluding day of the Games S. H.S. Bhullar, IPS (President Punjab Volleyball Association) appeared as chief guest. He advised the players to play with sportsmen spirit and also highly appreciated arrangements done by GKU and Bathinda Distt Volleyball Association.

S. Gurlabh Singh Sidhu, Chairman GKU, S. Sukhraj Singh Sidhu MD, Dr. N.S. Malhi Vice Chancellor, Dr. Jagpal Singh Pro Vice Chancellor also appeared in the games to blessed the students. They also assured every sort of assistance in sports and academia to the students.

Apart from others S. Samsher Singh Boparai, S. Gurpreet Singh Pirkot (President Bathinda Volleyball Association), Sh. Sham Lal gen. Sec., S. H.S. Brar Ex Chairman PSEB, S. Karnail Singh Mann Chief Engg., Amritpal Singh Pali, Naib Singh Brar, Mejar Singh Chahal, Principal Bhupinder Singh, Engg. Manmeet Singh, personalities from the surrounding areas, GKU staff and students appeared in the tournament. S. Gurdev Singh Kotfatta, AO GKU and S. Hardeep Singh, Chief Security Officer did all the necessary arrangements nicely.
