5 Day Workshop on TV Production Begins at KMV

Jalandhar, March 9, 2016: A Five Day workshop organised by the Department of Journalism and Mass Comunication of Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar in collaboration with Shamsheer Communication Pvt Ltd. The programme began with the floral felicitations of Ms.Ramanpreet Kaur, Director, Shamsheer Communications and Mr.Gurvinder Singh a renowned Theatre artist and TV expert. In the first session Ms Ramanpreet discussed different formats of TV Production and explained their importance in the field of TV Programme Presentation. In the second session, Mr. Gurvinder Singh talked about the importance of Communication Skills in the media industry. He elaborated the concepts of advertising, Public Relations and Camera Angles. On the second day of the workshop Mr. Izaz Khan, a famous make-up artist was the resource person for the first session of the workshop. He explained the different make-up styles opted by the reporters in the Studio and in the field of reporting. The practical make-up was carried out on students for better understanding of the concepts. In the post lunch session students recorded the live news bulletins as well recorded the sessions of live reporting. In the next three days of the workshop the students will produce and record documentary and TV advertisement.
This workshop will enhance the knowledge of concepts of TV Production of students which will be helpful for them in the field of media. The Principal of the College, Prof. (Dr.) Atima Sharma Dwivedi lauded the efforts of the dept. of JMC for organising the workshop and motivated the students to participate in the workshop with great zeal and enthusiasm.
