Sarabha (Ludhiana), November 4:
For promoting sports culture amongst the Punjabi youth, the 6th Dr BR Ambedkar World Cup Kabaddi has started and five matches of this mega sporting event would be played at the sports stadium of village Sarabha of district tomorrow, i.e. November 5, 2016. On this occasion Deputy CM Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal would be the chief guest and Agriculture Minister Mr Tota Singh would be the guest of honour. Dakha MLA Mr Manpreet Singh Ayali and other prominent personalities would also remain present on the occasion.
Tomorrow, a total of five matches of men and women section would be held for which a large number of spectators would be in attendance.
While taking stock of the arrangements, Deputy Commissioner Mr Ravi Bhagat visited the sports stadium at Sarabha village and issued necessary instructions to the officials. He informed that in men section, matches of UK vs Sweden, India vs Sierra Leone, Sri Lanka vs Canada and Iran vs Tanzania would be held and in women section, matches between India vs Kenya would be held.
These matches would start at 11 am tomorrow and would continue till 5 pm. Deputy CM Mr Sukhbir Singh Badal is expected to attend this event tomorrow. Renowned Punjabi singer Mr Satwinder Bugga would present a cultural function on the occasion. These matches would be transmitted live from a prominent TV channel.

ALTERNATE ROUTE PLAN FOR SMOOTH FLOW OF TRAFFIC CHALKED OUT: SSP LUDHIANA (RURAL):
While present on the occasion, Mr Opinderjit Singh Ghuman, SSP Ludhiana (Rural) informed that for the smooth flow of traffic, alternate route plan has been prepared and elaborate security arrangements have also been put into place. He informed that traffic coming from Raikot and Halwara side would pass through Kailey Chowk to Pakhowal, village Dangon and Brick Kiln T-Point, and the bridge of village Dhaipai. Similarly, traffic coming from Ludhiana and Jodhan side would pass through village Dhaipai, T-point of Brick Kiln and village Dangon, Pakhowal, Kailey Chowk, Halwara and Raikot.
