78TH BIRTH anniversary of Dalai Lama celebrated at Lha Gyari Temple  in Dharamshala

The 78th birth anniversary of the Dalai Lama was celebrated with great enthusiasm at Lha Gyari Temple on Saturday in Dharamsala on Saturday. A large number of men, women and children attended the function. On the occasion, Buddhist monks played traditional Tibetan instruments for long life of the Dalai Lama. Tibetans-in-exile also tied traditional holy flags at La-gyari Temple and offer incense burning. Besides, Tibetan artists from TIPA performed traditional dances and songs to mark the celebrations in a big manner. The 17th Karmapa, Ogyen Trinley Dorjee, officiating Prime Minister -in-Exile Pema Chhinjor and Deputy Speaker Sonam Topgyal were among those who attended the 78th birth anniversary celebrations.
