92.7 BIG FM “Avon CYCLOGREEN” to be held on Feb 24

Ludhiana, February 19, 2013:  Big FM (the radio arm of Reliance Broadcast Network) and Avon Cycles have partnered to launch AVON CYCLOGREEN -- the cycle rally -- once again.

The AVON CYCLOGREEN will engage the citizens of Ludhiana to take a unique pledge to cycle to work at least once in a week.

The initiative has been crafted for a better and greener tomorrow.

The AVON CYCLOGREEN will see its flag off in Ludhiana on February 24 from Sutlej Club, Ludhiana.

Through the activity promotion the BIG FM team, led by the RJ’s, will encourage Ludhianvis to use their bicycle at least once a week. The RJ’s will motivate the listeners to support the cause by sending support messages and by adopting the habit of cycling. There are several options to contribute to the environment, but the act of cycling once a week is the easiest, free and with this habit any one can contribute to the cause. Avon Cycles is set to create a wave and have sizeable impact across India.

Speaking at a press conference here today, BIG FM spokesperson said that they are extremely happy to bring in yet another edition of the AVON CYCLOGREEN to Ludhiana, they as responsible corporate citizens are always on the forefront of taking such initiatives which bring about productive and noble social changes in the growth of the city.

Onkar Singh Pahwa, MD, Avon Cycles, said that, they are proud to be associated with this great event and will be partnering this event on year on year basis, further he added that with initiatives like this they are confident that they will be able to reach relevant masses, creating an impact in the green space.

“Now people across the country should cycle for a cause and we hope that every concerned citizen of our country will come out and cycle their way to change not only perceptions but the future” said Pahwa.

Adding, he said AVON CYCLOGREEN will promote the idea of going green through cycling, which we know is the best way to exercise and to go places without polluting the environment. With this initiative AVON also hope and look forward to more bicycle riders commuting on city roads soon and a start of revolution for a better and a greener tomorrow.
