Ludhiana, November 17, 2017: State Co-President of Aam Aadmi Party Aman Arora has announced that organisational structure up to Circle, village and booth level will positively be completed by December 31 and from 1st January vigorous membership enrollment drive will be started in the state.
Decision to this affect was taken at the State Executive Body and Zone/ District Presidents held here today under the Chairmanship of Aman Arora. In the meeting, the party executive has decided to fight the the ensuing elections for 4 Municipal Corporations and of other Municipal Councils. It was also decided to ensure substantial mobilisation of people for the Foundation Day function of party being held at Delhi on November 26 and the office bearers have been told to take along maximum people.
Arora disclosed that with a view to fully gear up the party cadres, regular meetings at Halka/ Block, District and State level will be ensured, where all the issues relating to public and party will be discussed. He asked all the party leaders to raise the controversial issues only at party forum and refrain from taking up in media. He asserted that discipline in party at all levels will be strictly maintained.
Later, interacting with media, Arora said that there was no need of PACOCA in State and claimed that there were already sufficient strong laws at the hands of police were present and apprehended that it will be used to gag the voice of opposition. He added that his Cabinet Minister Navjot Sidhu had claimed that if Home Department is given to him, he will effectively deal with the unlawful elements. Answering a question about the announcement of Capt. Amrinder Singh to lead party for another term, Arora said that he was habitual of backtracking from his words and said that from the poor performance of his government and bickering in his party, it looks very difficult to complete the present tenure.
MP Sadhu Singh and Kanwar Sandhu addressing the meeting told the office bearers to work hard to strengthen the party up to village level.
Among others who attended the meeting included Budh Ram, Prof. Baljinder Kaur, Pirmal Singh, Meet Hayer, Malkiat Singh and Rupinder Rubby (all MLAs), Garry Barring, Gurdit Singh Sekhon, Ahbaab Singh Grewal, Daljit Singh Grewal, Ranjit Singh Dhamot and Darshan Singh Shankar.
