AAP provides relief to fire affected farmers

Ludhiana, April 30, 2016: As a part of state wide campaign to provide relief to the affected farmers whose wheat was gutted in fire, AAP Kisan and Labour Wing team under the leadership of Central Observer of Ludhiana zone Amrish Trikha and AAP Kisan and Labour wing General Secretary Ahbaab Singh Grewal today handed over the wheat relief compensating the whole loss of two farmers Satnam Singh of Dhurkot and Kuldeep Singh of Natt village.
At Dhurkot 25 Qtls of wheat was handed over to Satnam Singh for burning of 1.5 Acre wheat crop and at Natt village 35qtls of wheat and a cheque of Rs.11000 was given to affected farmer Kuldeep Singh as a relief of his complete loss of 2.5 Acres of crop.
Mr. Grewal added that Kisan and Labour wing office bearers and volunteers under the guidance of Capt. G.S Kang state president Kisan and Lobour wing of AAP collected the wheat from different villages and compensated the loss of the affected farmers. Mr. Grewal extending thanks to the people who had contributed toward this noble cause said that we got an over whelming response and AAP has been able to cover almost all the losses of affected farmers in Ludhiana Zone with the support of the people and NRIs. Rather than waiting for the govt. to provide relief AAP volunteers directly approached the people for help and got over whelmed response of the people. He added that this has proved that when people get together to help their brethren, nothing is impossible. This programme was a part of the “Sadi Mehnat Saada Haq” Campaign of the Aam Aadmi Party in which AAP volunteers were present in almost 200 mandis of the state to help farmers during the procurement. Grewal further stated that to expose the loot of public money by the Badal Govt. to the tune of more than 12000 crores, Aam Aadmy Party lead by Incharge Punjab Affairs Sanjay Singh and other state leaders will organize a state wide protest march towards the CM,s house at Chandigarh on 16th of May, in which thousands of farmers and AAP volunteers will participate. Mr Grewal appealed the people of Punjab to join this protest march to uncover the dirty face of the Badal govt. in large numbers.
Prominent among others who were present on this occasion included, Zone Coordinator Kisan wing Gurjit Singh Gill, Labour Wing incharge Rajinder pal Kaur, Zone Media Coordinator Darshan Singh Shankar, Social Media Incharge Kisan and Labour wing Manisha Singh, Kanav Vats, Vikram Mann, Kisan wing Sector Incharge Varinder Jassian, Jiwan Singh Sangowal, and were present.
