Achievement Galore at KMV: Budding Scientists Felicitated

Jalandhar, March 31, 2016: Kanya Maha Vidyalaya, Jalandhar’s departments of all Sciences collectively celebrated Star Science Achievers Day 2016 under the Star College Scheme. During the celebration 66 students from under graduate classes of the department of Sciences like B.Sc. Medical, B.sc. Non-Medical, B.Sc. Biotech and B.Sc. Food Science & Microbiology were awarded trophies and cash prizes. The students who had scored 85 % and above were give a cash prize of Rs.1500/-, those who scored above 80% were awarded 1200/- and students whose score was above 75% were given a cash incentive of Rs.1000/-. These prizes were awarded by Principal KMV Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi and John Battaglino Dean, Students Boston University, U.S.A.
It is note-worthy that KMV has always encouraged Scientific temperament amongst the young minds that come to study on its campus. Prior to this DST scholarship under INSPIRE Scheme has also been won by three students of the science department. Many students have also cleared the IIT entrance tests in the subjects of Physics, Chemistry and Bio-technology. Principal Prof. Atima Sharma Dwivedi congratulated the young achievers and their parents. She also wished them many similar succession their future. She also encouraged those who had the still to excel in fields other than the academics.
