ADFD students of HMV awarded with scholarships

Jalandhar, November 17, 2017: Hans Raj Mahila Maha Vidyalaya is running a two year Advanced Diploma in Fashion Designing under Community College course of UGC. The students of this course are not only evaluated by the college but also by Sector Skill Council for skill part. Any female of any age group and from any stream with a minimum qualification of SSC II pass can take admission in this course. The students get certificates from college and government bodies along with this a scholarship of Rs.1000 per month after the completion of the course is also given to the students. The third batch of ADFD successfully completed their second year (Advance Diploma level) and fourth batch completed the first year (Diploma level) of the course. After the course, the students are working with industries as Sampling Tailor, Asstt. Fashion Designer, etc. by the placement assistance of the college. On this occasion, the students were awarded certificate and scholarships by Principal Prof. Dr. (Mrs.) Ajay Sareen and Dr. Gurpreet Kaur, Dean Visual and Performing Arts, GNDU Amritsar in the presence of panel members Mrs. Meenakshi Syal, Course Coordinator Mrs. Navneeta and Industry Partner Mr. Amit Mahajan. Principal Prof. Dr. Ajay Sareen appreciated the efforts of the students. She told that students visit different industries from time to time. Along with this experts from different fields keeps on visiting and fortify students knowledge by guest lectures, seminars, workshops and conferences. The college has also signed MOU’s with different industries under this course.
