Advanced Antenna Technology Meet begins in Chandigarh

The 5th Indian Antenna Week (IAW 2014) Workshop-cum-Conference being held at JW Marriott, Chandigarh on Tuesday.

Chandigarh, May 27, 2014: The 5th Indian Antenna Week (IAW 2014) Workshop-cum-Conference began at JW Marriott here today. The event is being organised by National Institute of Technical Teachers Training & Research (NITTTR) Chandigarh, in association with Punjab Technical University (PTU) Jalandhar and Institute of Electrical & Electronics Engineers (IEEE) AP-MTT Joint Chapter of Kolkata Section.

Renowned experts from USA, Taiwan and Singapore shall be addressing and sharing the views on antenna and related areas with the  researchers during next four days. About 50 high quality papers will analyze the impact and role of antennas and propagation technology on present and future Technologies.

Dr S S Pattnaik, Organising Chair, IAW 2014, said, “IAW meet is a planned week long Residential Workshop that draws renowned experts in Antennas and Propagation, who expose the participants to the state of art technology; and, thus, it is an ideal event for the exchange of scientific and technical information, both at academic and industrial level, and fosters collaboration and cooperation in the Antenna domain both at India and global level.”

IAW 2014 brings industry together to evaluate new market opportunities, implement new technologies and discover future applications and technical developments. The event also brings the industry, technical education institutes and researchers at a common platform for better vision and mission for a bright future of the mankind.

Dr S Raghvan, Professor - Electronics & Communication Engineering, National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, said, “This edition of IAW expects speakers from all the three domains, i.e. the Antennas, Propagation and Measurements to share their views, ideas and visions with the participants.”

Dr Pattnaik, Professor and Head, Educational TV Centre, NITTTR, Chandigarh, further added, “As always, the IAW 2014 will provide a unique opportunity to network with peers, top-level professionals and potential business partners involved in technology solutions serving a variety of applications.”

A galaxy of antenna designers, patent holders and stalwarts from abroad, SAMEER, NITs and DRDO,  universities, industry and organizations have gathered with more than 200 research scholars to share and exchange views.
