Alert BSF troops recover five packets of Heroin concealed under cart wheel at BoP Jagdish

Ferozepur, February 10, 2017: The alert BSF troops today recovered five packets of Heroin which was concealed under the cart wheel at Border out Post Jagdish.
B S Rajpurohit, DIG (Sector Headquarters) said that keeping in view the vulnerability of Border due to ongoing cultivation/tilling season and heightened activities of smugglers and anti-national elements, special operational guidelines were issued to the jawans deputed at zero line.
“Today evening, when farmers were coming out after tilling, one farmer, identified as Karnail Singh, resident of Village Gandhu Kilcha was asked for checking of his bullock cart. The troops had found something suspicious about the activities of Karnail Singh. However, Karnail managed to flee from the spot saying that he was going to call the mechanic as his cart was punctured and left his bullock cart. When the jawans checked the punctured tyre, they confiscated five packets of heroin from it”, said DIG.
