Annual NSS meeting held at Panjab University

Chandigarh, May 26, 2017: The annual NSS meeting of various NSS Programme Officers from all the colleges and Panjab University campus of Chandigarh, and was chaired by Capt Subahsh (Retd) Regional Director, NSS, Punjab and U.T at Panjab University today. NSS programme officers from various colleges of Chandigarh participated in the meeting. Capt.Subash, asked every NSS officer to share their ideas, which can be implemented in future at different levels. He heard the ideas proposed by all the Programme officers very patiently. There were ideas related to the promotion of community service through various community engagement projects. There were ideas related to promote clean and green environment, Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan, Digital India, Self Defence Training, Special campaigns against drugs, promotion of yoga and promotion of life skills through strengthening the bond of relationship between the young and their family. He briefed the NSS programme officers about efficient working of NSS units and proper documentation procedure and managing the concerned database. He focussed on conducting the Advisory meeting in every college during the beginning of the session. He also praised Panjab University for organizing the successful
activities in the past time.
Sh. Bikram Rana, State Liaison Officer, (SLO) UT, Chandigarh also interacted with programme officers and shared his thoughts and vision about the programme. He discussed various administrative issues too.
Dr. Navdeep Sharma, Programme Coordinator, NSS, Panjab University also shared her thoughts with the NSS programme officers and addressed their queries.
