Annual Sports Meet SMASH-2017 held at DMCH

Ludhiana, February 2, 2017: Medical students of DMCH had a very refreshing moment by participating in Annual Sports Meet (SMASH-2017), which was held today in the premises of newly-built DMC College Campus.
The meet was inaugurated by Former Principal of DMCH-Dr Daljit Singh, who lauded the efforts of members of DMC Sports Committee by regularly organizing such sports meet for the benefit of students.
Principal Dr Sandeep Puri extended his warmest congratulations to the participants and advised them to play with their full potential and dedication
Chairperson of DMCH Sports Committee-Dr. Rajoo Singh Chhina said that sports events are held every year by DMCH Sports Committee to inculcate the spirit of true sportsmanship in the budding medicos. He suggested that participating in such events is more important rather than thinking about winning or losing a game.
The meet was declared open by Dr Daljit Singh, followed by impressive march-past ceremony by the faculty and students as well. The meet began with a football match between faculty and students, which rose a lot of enthusiasm among the students. During the meet, the participants who had won in different sports competitions, held earlier, were given mementoes by the dignitaries present on the occasion.
Dr Vineet Galhotra (Secretary, DMC Sports Committee) proposed a vote of thanks to all those present on the occasion. Dr PS Nain (Co-ordinator) administered oath to the participating players and Dr Sanjeev Uppal (Convenor, DMC Sports Committee) kept the audience spellbound with this witty commentary.

Cricket-MBBS Batch 2012 was the winner and MBBS Batch 2013 was Runner-Up
In (Boys) Category, Award for Best Batsman was given to Savitoz Paul, Best Bowler to Gurpreet Singh, Best Fielder- Abhishek Kumar and All Rounder Award was given to Sahil Sardana
In Cricket( Girls), MBBS Batch 2012 was the winning team
In Basket Ball (Boys) category, MBBS Batch 2014 won the match and in Basket Ball (Girls), MBBS Batch 2016 was adjudged as the winner
MBBS Batch of 2015 was won Football Match in Girls Category
