Armed Forces Flag Day on Dec 7

Chandigarh/Jalandhar, December 6, 2012: Armed forces Flag Day would be observed on December 7 to pay tributes to all those known and un-known soldiers who sacrificed their lives guarding the frontiers of the country.

According to an official spokesman in Chandigarh, this day is observed to salute the velour of soldiers both serving and veterans, who fought for unity and integrity and sovereignty.

Meanwhile, a report from Jalandhar said the Armed Forces Flag Day is being celebrated on December 7 at Punjab State War Memorial, opposite Bus stand, Jalandhar city. Lt Gen Sanjeev Madhok Gen Officer Commanding Vajra Corps will be the Chief Guest on the occasion.
