Ashita Dhawan speaks of pros and cons of working with her husband on …Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya!

Ashita Dhawan is on cloud 9! After having acted in several serials this is the first time that she has been paired opposite her real life husband, Shailesh Gulbani in Rajan Shahi’s …Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya which is all set to telecast on Zee TV from Jan 6th, Mon- Fri at 10pm. The duo will play the characters Saawri and Pratap in the show. Said Ashita, “It’s fantastic to be paired opposite each other. We balance each other perfectly. I’m a chatterbox while is his calm and quiet. We are extending our real roles in reel too, which is fun! Sounding all excited, Ashita however feels that working together as husband and wife adds to the pressure of performing well! “When I’m with any other co-actor, I am focusing only on myself and my performance, but with my husband, I need to ensure that together as a couple we look good and give a good performance! There’s twice the pressure,’ says Ashita.

Shailesh thinks that its same working with his wife as it is working with any other co-star. “On the sets, I’m a different person. I choose to  concentrate only on my work. Only thing  is that Ashita and I share a great on-screen chemistry. The advantage of working together as a couple is that we get to go and come back together from the sets,” says Shailesh. “I get to do my make-up in the car while Shailesh is driving,” grins Ashita. The only disadvantage both say is that they have to leave their one year old twins behind.

…Aur Pyaar Ho Gaya talks about this sublime experience called ‘love’ that a young and spirited Avni (Kaanchi Singh) is waiting to discover in her life. She is a hopeless romantic who feeds on a daily dose of traditional romantic classics and romanticizes the idea of “falling in love”. Based in the bustling city of Jaipur, the show boasts of an interesting cast who will form the characters of the two families who are central in the narrative. Both the families belong to the same community but follow a very different value system. The key cast includes newbie Kaanchi Singh and Mishkat Varma as the leads in the show respectively –Avni and Raj. Avni’s parents’ characters will be played by the graceful actress Reena Kapoor and Rajeev Singh respectively. Other key cast comprises of Waseem Mushtaqh, Ashita Dhawan, senior actor Rajeev Verma and newcomer Nikita Agarwal amongst others.
