Awareness camp on voting rights held at GNGC

Ludhiana, November 18, 2016: NSS Unit & Red Ribbon Club of Guru Nanak Girls College, Model Town, Ludhiana organised an awareness camp regarding the voting rights of the Citizens of India in view of the approaching Punjab Assembly Elections-2017. Principal, Dr.(Mrs.) Charanjit Mahal welcomed the Chief Guest Ms.Shikha Bhagat, Joint Commissioner, Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana and appreciated the efforts of the authorities of the Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana. She also urged all the students to exercise their right to vote wisely. Mr.Gauravdeep, founder President and convener of Youth organization ‘I Vote I Lead’ motivated the students to get hold of their voter ID Cards for the approaching elections. In a detail discourse he threw light on the process of enrollment in the voters list. Prof. Dr. S.S. Mahal, trustee Guru Nanak Education Trust applauded the efforts being put in by the Punjab Election Commission for a fair and just organization of elections.
