Ferozepur, October 22, 2012: “To keep the students away from drug abuse, social evils and awareness about law, inter-college competitions would be organised”, said Fatehdeep Singh, District and Sessions Judge, Feozepur.
He further said, a documentary, skit, slogan writing, poetry recitation, photography or power point presentation, competitions would be arranged rights of women and children, domestic violence act, dowry, female foeticide, drug abuse, corruption, basis rights and responsibilities, anti-ragging, child labour, rights of senior citizens, decline in moral values and role of law in social change etc.
He appealed to the students of the colleges to participate in these competitions in good numbers. He also informed that after the district level competitions, zonal level competitions would be organised on November 18 at Bathinda and state level on November 24 at Ludhiana.
Jaspal Verma, Chief Judicial Magistrate, Legal Service-cum-Secretary, District Legal Services Authority, Ferozepur informed that registration for inter-college competitions have already commenced.
