Resulting to which supporters of Bains remained illegally excavating sand.
Further, the complainant alleged that Daljit Singh Bhola and Gurpreet Singh Councillor stopped their way and paved way after damaging bank of Sutlej Canal. On this, they informed the police following which police officers and police force arrived there and they were handed over ten loaded tractor trollies of sand. It may be mentioned here that in-fact, Bains brothers were launching an agitation against the sand mafia. Surprisingly, they were supposed to launch this agitation on April 20 but they implemented their plan three days in advance. Earlier on April 11 this year, the police had arrested the Bains brothers along with their supporters when they were about to form a human chain against the sand mafia in Ludhiana.
The arrest of Bains brothers has spread like a wild fire not only in Ludhiana but across political circles in Punjab and outside. Only time will reveal the outcome of this political development in the state, believe political observers.
