Bajwa condemns attack on Namdhari sect Guru Thakur Uday Singh

Chandigarh, August 11, 2013: Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) president Partap Singh Bajwa today strongly condemned attack on Namdhari Sect Guru Thakur Uday Singh in Leicester Gurdwara in UK.

In a statement Bajwa said that it was a cowardly act and the assailants must be brought to book. He said that Namdhari Guru was an ambassador of peace and harmony and he was visiting UK to spread the message of mankind. He said that Congress party expresses its deep concern over violent attack on a religious head. He appealed to UK Government to take stern action against the culprits. He asked the Centre to take up the issue with UK government for the safety and security of Namdhari Guru.
