CT Group of Institutions in association with The Body Temple and Sutlej Club organised Punjab’s first ever event of its kind aimed to inspire people to use the public space in a holistic manner. 

Ludhiana, November 8, 2015: After having the fantabulous success in Jalandhar, the Big Streets has done it once again with a great success in Ludhiana. The scene was so thundering, when more than 2000 Ludhianvis came along to celebrate togetherness in the fresh air on Sunday morning at Big Streets event organized by CT Group of Institutions in association with the Body Temple and Sutlej Club. 
The Rakh Bagh streets (Civil Lines) from 6.30am to 9.30am were cordoned off for the citizens. They used the streets for recreation that promotes health, wellbeing, fitness, togetherness and joy.
Mr. Gaurav Khanna (Head, Public Relations at CT Group of Institutions) said that the event has aimed to inspire people to use the public space in a holistic manner. It was all about opening streets to people, sharing resources, transforming communities. It was milestone crafted to galvanize the citizens to participate in a shared vision of an active, car-free lifestyle. 
The traffic was not allowed for three hours as residents will reform their roads as open-air dance studios, art hubs, gymnasiums and yoga institutes. There was Cycling, Body Yoga, Body Aerobics, Body Zumba & Body Bakwa, Infinite Bhangra on Live Dhol, Tug of War, Open DJ, Badminton, Rope Skipping, Soccer, Karate and many more. There was Free Cycling Zone which was thoroughly enjoyed by the people besides there was a health check up camp arranged by Fortis Hospital. 
Mr. Manbir Singh (Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions) said, “Achieving great success at Jalandhar, this event has encouraged the people about the fact that cities are meant for people but not cars or traffic. Like previous event, Ludhianivis have really enjoyed this initiative and we would make sure to organize the event on regular basis.”
He further added that CT Group of Institutions has always been on the front foot in accomplishing its Corporate Social Responsibilities (CSR). We have organizing CT Half Marathon in order to raise funds for the needy, ASHA Project with the motive to feed the hunger, awareness drives related to traffic, pollution, girl child and many more.
