BOI CONDUCTS its 23rd annual general body meeting

Ludhiana, January 27, 2013: Bank of India conducted its 23rd annual general body meeting at the SCD Government College Auditorium on Sunday.

In the annual general body meeting the members of the Bank of India Officers Association North-Western Unit came to participate in the meeting from the different places.

In the meeting the annual report and statement of the accounts for the year 31.12.2012 was read to tell about the works being done by the Bank of India Officers’ Association North-Western Unit by the General Secretary North West Unit, Dr. R.K. Sood. They also put forth the works being done by them to strengthen the position of the bank and the association both. 

During the annual general meeting, President of the Bank of India Officers Association North-Western Unit and the Chief Manager of the Asset Recovery Branch (ARB), Ludhiana, H.S. Mangat was also given a final adieu by the Bank of India Officers Association North-Western Unit. As the main purpose of this annual meeting in Ludhiana was the retirement of their President H.S. Mangat on January 31. He has served Bank of India for around 38 years with the active working life for bank.

While in his personal life, he has always remained very active to participate in the social causes to bring the benefits for the humanity and educate girl child by providing financial help top their families. Both the aspects of his life were highlighted by the members of Bank of India Officers Association North-Western Unit on the occasion. He was honoured on the occasion in presence of the bank high dignitaries, officers and family members present.

The main speakers in the Bank of India Officers Association North-Western Unit were Sunil Kumar, President All India Federation of the Bank Officers’ Consideration, Harvinder Singh, All India Federation of Bank Officers’ Consideration, Zonal Manager Ludhiana, Anant Upadhaya, Zonal Manager, Chandigarh, K.L. Sharma and other main officials of Bank of India. In the speeches they talked about the active participation of the H.S. Mangat for his dedicated work towards the Bank in order to bring financial growth to the bank of India by connecting more and more people to the bank all over.

Thanking everyone present in the 23rd annual general body meeting he asked the officers to perform up to the best of their capacities for the bank in order to take it to greater heights. “Whatever we are today is just because of Bank of India so we should always serve it best and I thank everyone for providing me the opportunity to serve the institution with dignity. Thanks for all the honour provided today”, Mangat signs off with a heavy heart.
