BSF authorities with the seized 2 packets of contraband suspected to be heroin on Thursday at BOP D T Mal, Ferozepur.
Ferozepur/Jalandhar, February 14, 2013: The BSF 143 Bn sleuths under the leadership of Commanding Officer, P. K. Rathore have recovered 2 kg heroine from DT Mal post at the international Indo-Pak border which has Rs.10 crore value in the international market.
Giving this information, CO Rathore said, the team of BSF Ferozepur got a secret information that an consignment by the Pakistan smugglers.
He further said, today morning with the help of dog squad, the jawans of BSF 13 Bn started the search operation and at about 12.10 pm BSF got the success in recovering 2 kg heroine in the DT Mal BOP area at burji No.194/4 where it was concealed under thick growth of elephant grass.
He further said, the heroin was sent by the Pakistan smugglers and BSF is investigating into the matter as to whom the delivery of this consignment was to be taken and where it was to be passed on.
