Ludhiana, August 27, 2016: People of Punjab would soon see plying buses into the rivers waters across the state. The state government has already floated a scheme to this effect. The motive is to encourage tourism in the state. The dream is going to come true in the near future. An indication to this effect was given by the Deputy Chief Minister, Punjab Sukhbir Singh Badal during his visit to Ludhiana on Friday. However, he did not give much details of the project. He gave an indication to this effect when one of the media persons asked a question about the project. The buses would be of dual mode and these are likely to be equipped with accessories such as life-jackets. Each bus is likely to carry carry 60 tourists and the cost of each bus would be around Rs.1.5 to Rs.2 crore. Once the project is launched, it will be a befitting reply to all those who are considering it as a big “joke”.
