Calendar for Rural Mela dedicated to Baba Kala Mehar being released at Ferozepur.
Ferozepur, September 13, 2015: Dedicated to the Baba Kala Mehar, Rural Games Mela which is now the “Shaan” of Ferozepur, will be celebrated at village Jhoke Harihar in Ferozepur on 18th and 19th September, this information was provided by Jaswinder Singh Sandhu, President of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Rajguru Sukhdev Society. The calendar of the mela was released today by Er. DPS Kharbanda, Deputy Commissioner Ferozepur and Sandip Singh Garha, SDM Ferozepur.
Judge Dhanoa, the president of Baba Kala Mehar Youth Club said that on boys Kabaddi competition (60 Kg category) will held on 18th September and the winner will be awarded with 12,000 cash award. While the girls Kabaddi team winner will get 21,000 cash. Special langar will be organized for the players and the audience who will come to watch the mela and games.
Amrik Singh Sama, District Public Relations Officer, Ferozepur, Ashok Behal, Secretary Red Cross Ferozepur, Chamkaur Singh Sandhu, Lakhwinder Singh Lakha, Tejinder Singh Sandhu, Gurpreet Singh Sandhu, Happy Sandhu, Sherry Sandhu were also present on this occasion.
