Jalandhar, November 28, 2015: CISFG has the vision and mission that each child must be able to realize her own fullest potential whether it’s academia, a co-curricular or  sports activity and to ensure to give back to the society in a significant ways, it nurtures every child that she must grow up to be socially and culturally integrated in society. Therefore focuses on sports as well as good sporting mind to bring on a good healthy mind. A good healthy mind enables to study better and brain is mentally alert because of participation in sport. Eat well, sleep well, train well, play well ushers in the sense of discipline, dedication devotion and teamwork. When looked at the best practice around the Zone, CISFG is really the avant-garde not only in its academician curriculum but also the churning out the stalwarts in sports as well.
 It has a long history of promoting the development of various sporting skills amongst the students. Holding the first of many more ceremonies was, awarding the outstanding achievement of our school students in sports, namely chess at the zonal level.
Our Chess Team -Under 10 was declared first in CBSE North Zone Tournament. which was held at DRV DAV School, Phillaur. The team members are:
1) Japleen IIIA
2) Manya IIIA
3) Jasmita IIIA
4) Gunjan IIIB
*Manya of IIIA also won board prize in this Tournament.
Our Chess Team -Under 19 was also declared first in this Tournament. The team members are:
1) Prachi +1
2) Lavanya VIIIA
3) Hitharthi VIIIA
4) Savi Julka IXE
*Lavanya  VIIIA also won board prize in this Tournament.
Both teams qualify for CBSE Nationals which is going to be held on Dec.9, 2015 to Dec.13, 2015 Kolkatta.
Direct Mr.J K Kohli , Principal Ms.Deepa Dogra, Vice Principal Preeti Sharma and the Co-coordinators congratulated them. Principal Ms.Deepa Dogra applauded the unflinching victory of the students and the sports teachers for their sterling efforts to keep the flagship of Cambridge ahead.
