Chandigarh, December 18, 2016: Punjab Congress president Captain Amarinder Singh has greeted the people on the occasion of the state’s largest Jagannath Yatra in Ludhiana.

The Ludhiana annual Jagannath Yatra is the second largest in India, after the historic Puri (Odisha) yatra.

Captain Amarinder said the Yatra, organized by ISKON, was an important religious occasion and hoped the Lord Jagannath would shower his blessings on the people of Punjab.

He urged all political parties, particularly the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), from refraining to politicize this important religious event, which brings together people of all castes and creed to collectively invoke the blessings of Lord Jagananath.
