Capt government to make Punjab progressive by giving `Ram rajya': Varun Mehta

Ludhiana, March 17, 2017: Shree Hindu Takht's pramukh pradesh pracharak Varun Mehta has said that people belonging to every section of the sicty in Punjab were crying for the last ten years and now the historic victory attained by the Congress in the poll results of Punjab assembly has shown a new ray of hope to people of the state.
He was addressing a special meeting organised under the leadership of Harkirat Khurana, President, Youth Federation at the local Model Town.
Mehta added that people of the state had witnessed the people friendly decisions taken by the the then Capt Amarinder government from 2002 to 2007. He said people belonging to all sections of the society such as traders, working class, teachers, MSMEs, government and private sector employees, of the state were completely fed up with the "anti-people" policies of the predecessor state government.
Mehta said Capt Amarinder Singh government had begun of giving good governance even on the day one after swearing-in ceremony by making a major reshuffle in the administration. He hoped that the present state government's decision would ultimately prove very beneficial to the people from all walks of life.
Mehta said the victory of the Congress in the Punjab assembly elections had defeated anti-national forces that were bent upon to revive terrorism in the state. He said still, there was a need to keep a vigil on these elements to ensure maintenance of the law and order in the state.
