New Delhi/Jalandhar, January 28, 2014: The Central Bureau of Investigation has registered two cases against certain officials of Bokaro Steel Plant, Bokaro including then Managing Director, then Executive Director and others on the allegations of fraudulent recruitment at Bokaro Steel Plant, Bokaro.
The First case has been registered U/s 120-B IPC r/w 420, 468 & 471 IPC & Section 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d) of P.C. Act, 1988 against the then Executive Director & seven other officials (working/retired) of Bokaro Steel Plant/SAIL and second case, U/s 120-B IPC r/w 420, 468 & 471 IPC & Section 13(2) r/w 13(1)(d) of P.C. Act, 1988, against then Managing Director & fourteen (working/retired) officials of Bokaro Steel Plant, Bokaro.
It has been alleged that around 13 candidates were favoured and got selected for the posts of middle management/junior management level at Bokaro Steel Plant by adopting fraudulent recruitment & selection process.
Searches are being conducted today at the office and residential premises of the accused persons at around 36 places, situated at 10 cities i.e. Bokaro, Ranchi, Patna, Arrah (Bihar), Ghaziabad, New Delhi, Bhilai, Bhopal, Jabalpur and Bhubaneshwar.
