CICU organising job fair to provide stable manpower to industries

Ludhiana, April 18, 2014: Upkar Singh Ahuja, General Secretary, Chamber of Industrial & Commercial Undertakings (CICU), Ludhiana revealed that the industries in Punjab are passing through very crucial time.  On the one side there is severe problem of skilled manpower and on the other side the huge talent is unemployed which can be very useful to the Industries to increase its productivity and growth.

To bridge this gap CICU has decided to hold a job fair in association with Lovely Professional University (LPU) on April 19 at its complex (E-648/A, Near BSNL Exchange, Phase – V, Focal Point, Ludhiana).

Harcharan Singh Gohalwaria, Mayor, Municipal Corporation, Ludhiana will inaugurate the event at 10:30 am.

About 30 companies from different segments will participate in this fair to conduct interviews of the job seekers and will issue the offer/appointment letters to the selected applicants on the spot.  It is expected that around 1000 Diploma & Degree holder students from various trades will participant the fair.  This will be a unique opportunity for the industries to find out and employ suitable manpower of different engineering trades.

Since the industry is passing through a very vicious circle where manpower is uneducated and that leads to low productivity and low quality which further enhances to low profit and low margin as the industry is unable to employ an efficient manpower.  This fair will be very useful to break this vicious circle.
