CM gives nod to provide urban pattern power supply in all habitations

Chandigarh, August 27, 2012: The Punjab Government has now decided to provide domestic power supply on the urban pattern in all the habitations (Dhanis) consisting of even three or more houses across the state.

Disclosing this here today a spokesperson of CMO said that this decision had been taken by the Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal and he had asked the Chairman cum Managing Director Punjab State Power Corporation Ltd. KD Chaudhary to ensure urban pattern power supply to these Dhanis at the earliest, for which the state government had already sanctioned Rs.75 crore.  

Badal also asked the CMD PSPCL to ensure the urban pattern supply in the dhanis of border areas on the top priority.    

It may be recalled that the state government had already fulfilled its promise by providing urban pattern supply to the habitations consisting of five or more houses in the dhanis of the state at a cost of Rs.70 crore.
