Chandigarh, January 9, 2017: Terming Congress Manifesto released Monday in view of upcoming Punjab Assembly Polls a bundle of lies, BJP national secretary Tarun Chugh today said that the manifesto was anti-poor, anti-farmer, anti-Dalit, anti-youth, anti-industry, anti-trade and anti women.
Chugh said the manifesto released today was the true copy of the election manifesto prepared by Congress in 1952.
He said that the Congress while in decades of its rule never worked to provide basic necessities like education, employment, infrastructure, health, roads, electricity and water to the people of the country who had been voting it to power time and again on the basis of promises made in its manifestos released from time to time.
Chugh said while the present SAD-BJP government in the state provided employment to 2,28,780 youth the last government of Capt Amarinder Singh could provide jobs only to 24,683 youth.
He claimed that besides making Punjab a power surplus state the SAD-BJP combine did huge development and undertook welfare projects for different sections of the society as compared to the Congress government led by Capt Amarinder Singh.
The BJP leader asked Captain Amarinder as to why his government that remained in power from 2002 to 2007 did not do anything on the 9-point agenda he has brought now to once again lure the voters.
Chugh said the Congress manifesto was nothing more than a ploy to play fraud on the people of Punjab. He hoped that people would see through the game-plan of Congress and would vote against it so that they don't get cheated again.
