Dharamshala, July 30, 2017: While reacting over the congress men who are shifting to other parties now and then, CM of Himachal and the very senior congress leader of the nation Virbhadra Singh said, “They are small in number and countable, who are trying to damage the party. The problem will be sort out soon.” He was addressing the media at Nurpur 70 kms from here before leaving to Chamba this morning.
He said that the news of shifting of few congress MLAs in BJP in Himachal is false and baseless. “ Himachal Congress is strong and all set for a comeback to power in the state in the assembly elections later this year,” he said.
In reply to a question CM said that the party shall fight elections under his own leadership in the state. “The coming elections shall be my last elections,” The longest-serving Chief Minister of Himachal Pradesh said.
Virbhadra Singh has served as Chief Minister since 2012, he previously served as Chief Minister from 1983 to 1990, from 1993 to 1998 and from 2003 to 2007.
Rejecting the idea of creating new districts in the state ,Singh said that it is the brainchild of the media, there is no need of increasing the existing 12 district of Himachal. He said, "Our government has created quit a number of new Sub-divisions, Blocks, Tehsils and Sub Tehsils in the entire Himachal Pradesh, to help the public to get their administrative work done near their homes. So creation of any new district is not required.”
