CPI condemns murder of Pastor Sultan Masih

Ludhiana, July 16, 2017: Expressing serious concern over the continuing violent incidents leading to murders, the Communist Party of India has in strong words condemned murder of Pastor Sultan Masih by gunmen on a busy road in Salem Tabri, Ludhiana.

Party leaders Com Kartar Singh Bowani, Dr Arun Mitra, D P Maur, Ramesh Rattan and Gurnam Sidhu have demanded thorough investigation into motive behind this murder. Law and order has come down to the lowest ebb. Increasing incidents of murders of several leaders of various sections in the past is a cause of serious concern and reflects failure of police and intelligence.

“In most of these cases the culprits are still at large”, they said, adding, “Immediate steps need to be taken to restore law and order and arrest the culprits”.
