Pawan Kumar Teenu, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Sports and Youth Affairs, Punjab visits Guru Nanak Stadium, Ludhiana on the eve of birth anniversary of Indian Hockey legend Dhyan Singh to celebrate National Sports Day.

Ludhiana, August 29, 2013: Pawan Kumar Teenu, Chief Parliamentary Secretary, Sports and Youth Affairs, Punjab visited Guru Nanak Stadium on the eve of birth anniversary of Indian Hockey legend Dhyan Singh to celebrate National Sports Day.

Kartar Singh, District Sports Officer, Ludhiana and Teja Singh Dhaliwal, Hony. Secretary, Punjab Basketball Association welcomed Teenu in Basketball Hall where Tenu interacted with players and listened their problems he assured the players to remove all those problems faced by them.

Teenu congratulated all the players on National Sports Day and announced Rs. 1 lakh for Ludhiana Basketball Academy and assured to uplift the standard of sports in the state. He also visited the hostel of Basketball Academy asked about the shortcomings. He also asked Kartar Singh, District Sports Officer, Ludhiana to make an estimate of all the project to be renovated and send to him for the necessary action by the government.

Teenu disclosed that Punjab Government is determined to promote sports in the state and doing wonders for sports persons and for sports.

Chief Parliamentary Secretary visited Guru Nanak Stadium and enquired about the Synthetic track and took information of development projects in progress in the district like Multipurpose Hall, Cycling Vellodrum and Prithipal Singh Hockey Stadium at Punjab Agriculture University.
