Uday Singh appointed Acting Administrator of Namdhari Sect
Bhaini Sahib (Ludhiana), December 14, 2012: The body of Head of Namdhari Sect- Satguru Jagjit Singh was cremated with all religious rituals here today.
Thousands and thousands of people attended the cremation ceremony.
It was observed that followers of Satguru were in great emotions, which were evident from their eyes and gestures. Everybody was keen to see face of Satguru.
Satguru’s nephew Uday Singh lit the pyre.
On the occasion, Satguru’s wife Chand Kaur was also present.
Prominent among those who attended the cremation ceremony included the Punjab chief minister Parkash Singh Badal, Congress Legislature Party (CLP) leaders Sunil Jakhar, senior Congress leader Rajinder Kaur Bhattal, Punjab Ministers Sharanjit Singh Dhillon and Adesh Partap Singh Kairon.
Meanwhile, Satguru’s wife Chand Kaur announced that Uday Singh would be Acting Administrator of Namdhari Sect for the time being.
