CSR INITIATIVE EK DIYA EK KOSHISH HELPS 35 UNDERPRIVILEGED KIDS GET HEARING AIDS

Chandigarh, November 14, 2016: Well known Radio Channel My FM & Paul Merchants organized an event in Government Model School, Sec 22, Chandigarh. In the function 35 underprivileged students of different schools of Chandigarh, with hearing impairment were given hearing aids. The hearing aids were fixed in the ears of these students under supervision of doctors. These children have now got a cherished gift –the ability to hear.
The hearing aids became a reality due to the support of Paul Merchants and an NGO Round Table. My FM had initiated the drive.

According to Abhilash Dave, Zonal Business Head, My FM, “We had broadcast this campaign in tricity to coincide with Diwali festivities. In this we asked residents to collect a lamp(Diya) from our studio and donate whatever they wanted to for this noble cause. I am happy that the response was overwhelming. Corporates, schools, colleges and even salaried people came out in large numbers and donated for the children. Even students donated their pocket money & some kids brought their piggy banks to the studio.”
