Jalandhar, December 25, 2014: CT Group of Institutions celebrated Christmas with fun and fervour at both of its Maqsudan and Shahpur Campus. The entire campus wore a festive look. It was festooned with colourful streamers and balloons and a brightly decorated Christmas tree. The celebrations began with a cake cutting ceremony. This was followed by singing of Christmas carols by the staff and faculty members during the celebrations. Students were in a festive mood and danced to the numbers like "We wish you a Merry Christmas" and “Jingle Bells”.

Non-Teaching staff took the initiative to make a surprise visit of 'Santa Claus' at the event. Santa Claus enjoyed the festive spirit, took photographs with them, distribute candies and gifts to all. Students looked joyful dressed in their party attires. Some students also dressed as 'Santa Claus', while some of the others donned the role of elves.

At Maqsudan campus, the festival was celebrated by the hostel students. The programme was followed by a dance and Christmas carols. Students said that Christmas festival truly depict the essence of love, joy and peace. Ranjana Rajput (Principal, CT Public School) informed the students about the birth of Jesus Christ and motivated the students to spread the message of Jesus Christ, “love each and every person” in their life.

Parminder Kaur Channi (Co-chairperson, CT Group of Institutions), Manbir Singh (Managing Director, CT Group of Institutions) and Tanika Channi celebrated the event with the students. They made their presence felt during the celebrations at both the campuses.  Channi while addressing the students urged them to follow the passage of love and affection which is essence of every religion of the world.
