CT Group of Institutions organises one week FDP at both its Shahpur and Maqsudan Campus

Jalandhar, April 9, 2015: CT Group of Institutions organised Faculty Development Programme (FDP) in collaboration with Punjab Technical University (PTU) at both its Shahpur and Maqsudan Campus.
The programme organised at Shahpur Campus was on ‘New Approaches of Applied Sciences for making better Engineers’ theme while ‘Modeling and Simulation Methodologies of Artificial Intelligence in Engineering Applications’ was the theme at Maqsudan Campus. The Faculty skill empowerment workshop was organised to train the faculty in innovative teaching and learning skills.
Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions), Dr. Manoj Kumar (Group Director, CT Institutions) were Chief Guest for the valedictory ceremony held at Shahpur Campus. Dr. Kumar (Group Director, CT Institutions) graced the occasion with his presence at the Chief Guest at both campuses.
Talking about the FDP of Shahpur Campus, the first session of the FDP was given by Dr. Manoj Kumar (Group Director, CT Institutions) who was also the Patron of the FDP, on ‘Public speaking is a Science or Art’ topic. The other sessions in five days FDP were given by Dr. Ashish Arora (PTU, Jalandhar) on Numerical Techniques for Engineers, Dr. Ashish Arora (GNDU, Amritsar) onNumerical Techniques for Engineers, Dr. Amit Kaut on Effective teaching (The Know- How of Teaching),  Dr. Anish Dua on The Three R’s - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle, Dr. D.P. Singh onAdvancements in Physics (A Bird’s eye view), , Prof. Parmod Kumar Singla on Personality of an Engineer, Prof. R S Salaria on Professional values and Ethics- Stronghold of an Organization, Dr. B S Kaith on Chemical Side of Engineering and others. 
At Maqsudan Campus, Dr. K.K. Chawla (Campus Director) gave the formal valedictory speech. In his valedictory address, he said that such FDP are the necessity for the education excellence of the faculty. Dr. Manju Bala (Vice Principal, CT Institute of Engineering, Management & Technology) was the Guest of Honour.  In her speech, she appreciated the initiative taken by CT Institute of Technology & Research (CTITR) on emerging fields of Artificial Intelligence. She also highlighted the necessity of upcoming research domains of Artificial Intelligence in today’s world.
Faculty members and research scholars from various colleges/institutions/ organisations got registered for this FDP. This one week FDP covered various modeling and simulation methodologies of Artificial Intelligence in Engineering applications covering the research areas like Artificial Neural Network, Computer Vision, Evolutionary Algorithms, Swarm Intelligence, Pattern Recognition, Knowledge Representation, Control Theory, Uncertain Reasoning, Mathematical tools used in Artificial Intelligence.
The resource persons emphasised on the importance of such innovative and learning programmes for the faculty members. They also covered the aspects of Career Counseling, Electrical Engineering, Computer Sciences, Mechanical Engineering, Mathematics and other generic topics. They said,
Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) appreciated the participation of the faculty in the program and emphasising the importance of such Faculty Development Programs. He said that these programs are a great help in taking the teaching methodology and platform to a next level.
