The four days, 1st CT Premier League- 2015 of CT Group of Institutions concluded at its Shahpur Campus on Saturday.

Jalandhar, February 1, 2015: The four days, 1st CT Premier League- 2015 of CT Group of Institutions concluded at its Shahpur Campus on Saturday with the winning moment for CT Institute of Management & Technology (CTIMT). The team won the match in a close chase for scores from CT Institute of Technology (CTIT) against 6 penalty shootout points. Simranpreet Singh won the title Player of the Tournament from the winning team.

The penalty shoot came out as the result of the match. Both the teams were struggling on the equal 2-2 points but after penalty shoot CTIMT wins the match with 6-5 points.

More than 10 matches were played between the different teams under the umbrella of CT Institutions including Pharmacy, Polytechnic, Engineering, Management, Hotel Management and others in the tournament. All the teams showcased the perfect blend of sportsman spirit and enthusiasm at the grounds of Shahpur Campus.

Dr. Manoj Kumar (Group Director, CT Institutions) and Mr. Harpreet Singh (Vice Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) was the Chief Guest for the final match. They honoured the winning and runners-up team with trophy and encouraged them for frequent participation in sports activities.

Dr. Manoj Kumar (Group Director, CT Institutions) informed that the winning team of the tournament has been felicitated with the trophy titled “Running Trophy” that will pass-on to the winning team of this annual tournament. He said, “The tournament is organized with a motive to encourage the student’s interest towards different games. Football is a wonderful game that needs to be uplifted and liked by our youngsters. The participating teams have enjoyed playing this sport and we are sure they will continue doing so.”

S. Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) wished the winning and all the participating teams of the tournament. He advocated the importance of sports in our life to ensure healthy mind, body and soul.
