CT Public School hosted 4-Day CBSE Cluster Basketball Tournament

Jalandhar, November 11, 2016: 4-Day CBSE Cluster Basketball Tournament concluded at CT Public School on Friday with great participation and enthusiastic performances by the players. The school has been entrusted with the responsibility of hosting the prestigious tournament which included participation of more than 3000 students from different 80 CBSE affiliated schools of Punjab and Jammu & Kashmir.
The students participated in Under-19 (Girls & Boys) category from different districts of Punjab including Moga, Amritsar, Jalandhar, Hoshiarpur, Fatehgarh Sahib, Ludhiana, Gurdaspur, Kapurthala, Ferozepur, Faridkot, Nawashehar and others. The closing ceremony of the meet witnessed the enlightening presence of Smt. Parminder Kaur Channi (Co-Chairperson, CT Group of Institutions) and Ms. Suman Rana (Principal, CT Public School).
The final match under Girls Category was played between Apeejay School (Rama Mandi) and Apeejay School (Mahavir Marg), Apeejay School (Rama mandi) won the match. The final match under Boys Category was played between Spring Dale Public School and Police DAV (Jalandhar) which was won by the team of Police DAV (Jalandhar) won the match. On the other hand, in Boys Category Spring Dale School (Amritsar) won the second place while the third place was shared by CT Public School (Jalandhar) and Police DAV (Amritsar). In Girls Category, Apeejay School (Mahavir Marg) hold the title of Second position. For the third place, Baba Farid Public School (Faridkot) and BCM School (Ludhiana) registered a tie.
Ms. Suman Rana (Principal, CT Public School) thanked the CBSE observer, guests, coaches and athletes from various parts of Punjab. The students of CT Public School presented glittering performances including prayer, motivational song, group song and dance performances in the event.
Smt. Parminder Kaur Channi (Co-Chairperson, CT Group of Institutions) said, "The sports activities are losing their significance as the electronic goods are creeping into society due to globalization and it is the responsibility of the young generation to restore it.” He thanked CBSE for honoring CT Public School with great pride and entrusted with the responsibility of hosting CBSE Cluster Basketball Tournament and gave youngsters the chance to perform in the most enthusiastic manner.
