THE CONCEPT OF GREAT BRITISH FOOD
The concept of this festival was developed in the UK where CURRY is regarded as the most popular food as well as the national cuisine. CURRY has come to be the globally famous food. The spice trade between Indian Sub-Continent and Europe is often cited as the main catalyst for presence of Curry Houses or Indian Restaurants in every major European city, including London. The Curry, which originated from Indian Sub-Continent, now outsells most European foods, making turnover of several billions sterling annually. It was in 1809, Mr. Sake Dean Mahomed established the Hindustani Coffee House in George Street, central London. Now, 200 years later the Curry restaurants are fixture on the British high street.

MICHELIN STARRED CHEF
Michelin stars are considered the pinnacle of achievement in the culinary world. Curry Life works with many Michelin Starred chefs in the UK and Europe. Hyatt Regency Chandigarh brings to the city, Chef Rupert Rowley, who has worked in many Michelin Starred restaurants across the globe.
