Delegation of Federation of Industrial & Commercial Organisation (FICO) meets Vipin Nagi, Regional Manager, State Bank of India.

Ludhiana, February 18, 2014: Delegation of Federation of Industrial & Commercial Organization (FICO) met Vipin Nagi, Regional Manager, State Bank of India, regarding 8,000 pending cheques. It was led by Gurmeet Singh Kular, President, FICO.
The delegation said the industry is passing through face of recession & problems are increasing day by day. The issues highlighted were as under:
Delay in Credit of Payment at centralised Clearing Processing Cell (CCPC): There are 8000 cheques are pending for clearing from the last 7 days.  The cheques deposited on February 12, 2014 are still not cleared.
Shortage of Scanners: There are only 4 scanners but 2 are working & the remaining two are out of order. It was requested to sanction 10 new scanners to Centralized Clearing Processing Cell (CCPC) because CCPC is catering to whole Ludhiana.
Shifting of Centralised Clearing Processing Cell (CCPC) to Branch level: Delegation requested to Introduce clearing system at branch level because it is difficult to cater under one roof.
Installation of server at Ludhiana: Delegation requested to  install server at Ludhiana because now cheques are cleared from Madras via Chandigarh with stipulated time.
“Due to non credit of payment cheques are dishonouring due to insufficient funds but our payments are under clearing in the accounts raw materials are getting costlier due to non-clearance of cheques”, said Kular.
Vipin Nagi, Regional Manager, assured the delegation that two more scanners will be put up at CCPC from tomorrow  onwards & 60 new scanners will be  distributed to all the branches and cheques will be cleared at branch level. He also said that after the Installation of sever at Ludhiana all the discrepancies will be solved by the end of the month
