Ludhiana, May 26, 2017: With an objective to spread message of peace and happiness , the NSS wing of Guru Angad Dev Veterinary and Animal Science University (GADVASU) joined hands with Youth Peace Foundation (YPF) to organize a 'Talk on Peace' at the varsity campus today. During the talk students were encouraged to spread awareness and importance of peace so as to sensitize the masses about the social problems and their viable solutions.

YPF volunteers also held an interactive session wherein the participating youth sought to know about the Foundation’s role, goals and campaigns it had been carrying out for spreading message of peace through humanitarian and various interesting activities.

A video presentation by Mr. Prem Rawat, who is known as the 'messenger of peace' world over, was also screened. Students were encouraged to practically experience peace and happiness themselves and devote themselves for this gentle as well as noble cause under the banner of YPF.

The participating students were enlightened as to how the peace and happiness are interrelated and in what ways peace can derive happiness in our lives. A total of 100 NSS volunteers participated in the signature campaign and vowed to remain at peace and spread it all around them. NSS programme coordinator of GADVASU Nidhi Sharma said, “YPF team is doing an excellent job and service to the community and the message conveyed by Sh. Prem Rawat about peace is very inspiring for our volunteers."

Dr. Satyavan Rampal, Director Students' Welfare appreciated the efforts of YPF team members and encouraged NSS volunteers to spread the message of peace.

Dr. S. Sivakumar, NSS college coordinator, presided over at the function which was attended by YPF Ludhiana Team members, Parveen Kumar and Sajan Sharma, who encouraged NSS volunteers to inculcate the habit of peace amongst general public.
